How To Unlock BlackBerry 6xxx 7xxx Models
Point to Note : Before you begin, you MUST take out the Sim Card & turn OFF ALL wireless radios
- Press the Menu button.
- Select Options / Settings.
- Select Sim Card.
- Enter MEPD (not case sensitive), Note: When inputting in MEPD, the letters will not appear on the screen.
- Then enter MEP Hold Alt Key and type number 2.
- NOTE: You must use the “alt” key to enable numbers, example: enter MEP hold “ALT key” and enter 2. Note: When typing in MEP2, the letters/number will not appear on the screen, this step open up the “Enter Network MEP” box. If you do not see “Enter Network MEP” box, you didn’t type in MEP2 properly.

How To Unlock BlackBerry Models: 7100, 8100, 8110, 8120 & 8220, 9100
Before you begin the unlocking process, you MUST have a Sim Card & turn OFF ALL wireless radios
- Press the Menu key.
- Scroll to Turn Wireless Off and press the trackball (Will show Turn Wireless ON).
- Scroll to Options and press the trackball.
- Scroll to Advanced Options and press the trackball.
- Scroll to SIM Card and press the trackball.
- Type MEOOD (not case sensitive). This step opens up the personalization on the device.
- Type MEOO, then hold ALT key and type number 2. Note: When typing in MEOO2 the letters/number will not appear on the screen, this step open up the “Enter Network MEP” box. 8. Enter Unlock Code. 9. Press the Enter Key. (You need to ensure you press the Enter Key within 5 seconds or you have to enter the unlock code again).

How To Unlock BlackBerry Models: 8700, 8700c, 8700g, 8700r
Before you begin the unlocking process, you MUST have a Sim Card & turn OFF ALL wireless radios
- Press the Menu key.
- Scroll to and select Manage Connections. Select Turn All Connections Off.
- Press the red end key or the Escape key to go back to the Home screen.
- Scroll to and select the Setting icon.
- Scroll to Options.
- Scroll to and select Advanced Options.
- Scroll to and select SIM Card.
- Type MEPD Note: When typing in MEPD the letters will not display on the screen. This step opens up the personalization on the device.
- Type MEP then hold “Alt” key and type number 2. Note: When typing in MEP and hold “Alt” key and 2; the letters/number will not appear on the screen, this step open up the “Enter Network MEP” box.
- Enter the unlock code.
- Press the Joydial to confirm (“Code Accepted should display)
- Press and hold the red End key to turn the handheld off and then back on.
- Once the device is switched on, follow steps 1 & 2 and restore connections.

How To Unlock BlackBerry Models: 9500, 9530 Storm, 9550 Storm 2
Before you begin, you MUST have an Unauthorized Sim Card inserted. What is an Unauthorized Sim Card? It is a Sim Card that does NOT belong to the service provider of the phone. For example: If you have a 3 Mobile phone, you need to insert a T-Mobile Sim Card inside the device before switching it on.
- Power on the phone.
- Phone will said “MEP check failed. Do you want to enter MEP unlock code”. Select Yes.
- “Enter Network MEP code (# left)”. Enter the unlock code.
- Press Enter, you should see “Code Accepted”
- You need to check Network Connection is set on GSM/UMTS. Menu>Manage Connection>Mobile Network Options and make sure it GSM/UMTS.
- Once GSM/UMTS is selected. You can now ready to make phone call. WARNING: If after you input “meood” or “mepd” from the unlock instructions below and your “Enter Network MEP” box shows less than 4 tries left (default is 10 try left), make sure you STOP, do not enter the unlock code. If you input incorrect code and get to 0 try left, your Blackberry will be locked permanently. Therefore, with MEP Name, you need to make sure that the unlock code is 100% correct.
